Céleste Matobo:
Celeste is from a middle-class family in Demond. Growing up in the king’s shadow, she was exposed to cruelty and oppression at an early age. She was exposed to the vices of the world during her time in the city and tragically grew up in a harsh household. Her father served the king, and she was raised thinking corruption was the only way. She eventually decided to run away to escape her father’s wrath. After years of struggling as a pit fighter, she met Omari, who has taken her in his fold. A valuable member of the team, she is the second in command.
Rafael Nepali:
Rafa was born among a reputable tribe of Haranaes in Nemkahldur. After branching out with his family, tragedy struck the humble farmer and left him alone and devastated. Enraged, the Haranae took up the warhammer and vowed to get his revenge upon the Forsaken Ones who destoryed his life. From that day on, Rafa has wandered the land, protecting those who are preyed upon by the evil monsters of the Underworld. During his travels he has come upon Omari and joined his cause.
Amani Londo:
Born the oldest of four children in the slums of Ougareb, Amani was exposed to the harsh realities of poverty from an early age. Before she passed, his mother made the boy vow to protect his siblings and keep them away from the vices of the village. Sadly, Amani’s skills caught the attention of a local thief’s guild who saw his potential. They convinced him to join in on a small job and, in desperation, he took the opportunity. Amani fell victim to the darkness of his heart and joined the guild, leading to tragedy for his family. Ashamed of his dark past, Amani wandered the land, a mercenary for hire. Jamal Tshinguta:
Jamal comes from a family of priests and healers. He gre up in the Twin Bastions, and from an early age he was intrigued by the art of combat. Jamal eventually gave in to his God-given gift to fight and joined the army against the will of his parents. This led to a brilliant early career in the military during which he experienced the horrors of war firsthand. After his miraculous recovery, Jamal discovered Omari and joined in his quest. He is perhaps the most well-rounded of the group in terms of battle, but his inner conflicts remain. He struggles to see how a man of war can ever bring about peace.
Raeran Balnorin:
Raeran is the twin brother of Rina, and they share a complicated history. Polar opposites yet remarkably similar, their bond stems from their grandparent’s disdain for them. Their grandparents kept them hidden from the world until they were old enough to be shipped to the Huidong Spire, where unwanted citizens reside. Overshadowed by his sister, Rae was content to lose himself in his books and imagination. He only really expresses himself on the battlefield, where his skills as a marksman are unmatched. He wields a custom crossbow that reloads itself and has extended range for distant targets. His battle frenzy can get the best of him and go against his logical nature. The twins encountered Omari during one of his forays into the forest and have followed him since, sensing there was something special about the man.
Rina Balnorin:
Rina is the twin sister of Raeran, and they share a complicated history. Polar opposites yet remarkably similar, their bond stems from their grandparent’s disdain for them. Their grandparents kept them hidden from the world until they were old enough to be shipped to the Huidong Spire, where unwanted citizens reside. There was a secondary reason the twins were removed from their society: Rina’s hidden talent as a druid. Whereas Rae tended to withdraw after the move, Rina grew into herself, becoming more outspoken and determined. She was liked and respected among the other outcasts because of her sharp tongue and wit. The twins encountered Omari during one of his forays into the forest and have followed him since, sensing there was something special about the man.
Chidea:
Chidea grew up without a family and never knew her parents. Raised in the streets of Kirkeliz, she has survived off the kindness of others and being crafty. She avoids the local law enforcement and uses her wits to obtain her needs. She has an amazing heart, selfless and ready to act to help others. Despite her hardships, she is determined to be more than just a street urchin. When she meets Omari, she finds such an opportunity to better herself. Little does she know that her presence within the group will change the world forever.
